Non-woven fabrics are randomly oriented fibres, bonded together chemically, mechanically or by other means but without using a weaving technique. In the production of nonwoven fabrics, seizing agents are being used, where Celopro® serves as a rheology modifier. Celopro® is also used to prevent settling in dispersions of wet laid processes.
For the production of pencil and coloured crayon Celopro® is used as a binder and plasticiser. The lead of the crayon achieves a higher flexibility and a higher braking strength due to the use of Celopro®. A further advantage is the high compatibility of Celopro® in combination with all other raw materials used.
Rubber gloves are used in many industrial, medical and household applications. They can be made from natural latex, nitrile or chloroprene. The process involves dipping a ceramic former into a latex dispersion. Celopro® acts as a thickener and prevents sedimentation as well as influences the thickness of the finished rubber material.
Seeds are coated for several reasons, such as improvement of the bulk properties, as well as provision of fertilizers, protective agents etc. within the coating. Celopro® based coatings are very stable and enable the crop to recieve the active substances reliably and at the right time.
Welding rods consist of a core and a coating which is being produced in a co-extrusion process. Celopro® is applied to the coating and acts as a binding and plasticising agent in the extrusion process. It improves the elasticity of the extruded material and thus reduces crack formation directly after production. Celopro® also influences the shrinking process of the coating and optimises its adhesion to the rod.
