Ceramics
The ceramics industry uses many different Celopro® grades as plasticising, binding and floating agents. It is successfully added to formulations because of its favourable moulding, drying and de-binding properties.
Celopro for Ceramics
Engobes & Glazes
Tape casting: Use of Celopro cellulose ethers provides better flow and leveling and more uniform thickness. Low sodium residues provide the purity necessary for electronic items. Thermal gelation reduces binder migration and surface faults.

Powder Granulating
Celopro prevents sedimentation in spray drying slips and acts as rheology modifier. It contributes to an advantageous particle size distribution of the dried granules and fast filling of pressing moulds. In combination with plasticising and other additives, it provides high green strength and shows excellent debinding behaviour.
Powder Metallurgy
In powder metallurgic extrusion applications, special Celopro grades provide an outstanding thickening effect in water and in certain compositions of organic solvents.
